Bonjour, the French Market is in town !

Bonjour!

 Olin tänään äiten kanssa keskustorilla, koska siellä viipyy ranskalainen tori kaks viikkoo, eli 2.8.-15.8. Suosittelen torille menemistä aamupäivästä, koska jonot on kolmen neljän aikaan aivan mahdottoman pitkät! En oo iha varma torin aukioloajoista... Koska netissä ja Aamulehdes lukee, että kauppiaat on paikalla klo 12-18. Mutta sitte tänää siitä isosta leipomovaunusta sanottiin, että ne alottaa jo klo 9 ainaki huomenna eli torstaina. :)

I was in the center today with my mom, because the french market stays in town about two weeks, 2.8-15.8. I recommend that you'll go to the market in the morning, about at 10-12 am. 'Cause the lines are so unbelievable long in the afternoon, around 3-4 pm! I'm not sure about the opening hours... Because in the internet and in Aamulehti have written, that the shopkeepers are present at 12am. to 6pm. But today they said in the big bakery-van, that they open already at 9 am. tomorrow, thursday. :)

 En maistanu noita crêpes-juttuja tai toffeeomenoita, mut voi olla et tuun tollasen toffeeomenan viel ostaan. :)

I didn't taste those crêpes-things or toffee apples, but maybe I'll buy one of those toffee apples. :)

Jonotettii churroja joku 15min, joskus klo 13 aikaa.

Noi churrot ei oikee mulle maistunu, eikä kyllä äitellekkää. :D En vaan pysty ajattelee, et noita vedetää Espanjassa aamupalaks... Ku noi pyöriteltii sokerissa niiku munkit, ni ilman sitä sokerii toi ei ois maistunu millekkää. Ja ostettiin toi 6kpl, ku söin kolmannen churron, ni alko oksettaa. Mun mielest noi maistu iha puulle ja oli vähä raakoi sisältä. :D Hyi.

We waited churros about 15min, around 1 pm.

I didn't like so much of those churros, and neither did my mom. :D I just can't imagine, that they eat churros for breakfast in Spain... They rolled churros in sugar like donuts, without the sugar, those would be tasteless. We bought 6 pieces, when I ate the third churro, it made me feel sick. In my opinion, those tasted like wood and were a little raw inside. :D Eww.

Ja tältä näytti patonki/leivonnais-jono klo 13.30.

Kyllä, mentiin tohon jonoo, vaikka se vaan jatko kasvamistaan. Mut ei ollu mihinkää kiire, nii mikäs siinä. Mutta sit ku meiän edessä oli enää joku 10 ihmistä...

"Sori, mut meillä loppu patongit ja croisantit. Puolen tunnin päästä tulee jonku verran vielä patonkeja, mutta muuten huomenna ollaan auki."

Just meiän tuuria... No otettii me siit jotain leivonnaisia kummiski ku oltiin jonotettu joku 1h 15min... Äiti menee huomenna aamulla kattoon, jos sais patonkeja, koska kaikki on kehunu niitä.

The baguette/pastry-line at 1.30 pm.

Yes, we went to that line, even it just kept growing. But we weren't in a hurry, so why not. But then, when there were about 10 people ahead of us...

"Sorry, but we run out of baguettes and croisants. We get some baguettes after 30 mins, but we are open tomorrow."

Just our luck... Well, we got some other pastries then, 'cause we had waited about 1 hours and 15 minutes... Mom goes tomorrow morning to look, if we can get baguettes, because everybody have said, that they are soooooo good.
